Get set, ready........

So after days of research using the Internet, books, verbal recommendations and the ol 'close your eyes and point to somewhere on the map' technique we have finally set our route plan for the drive. Due to the possible costs we have decided to play Alaska by ear (It could be around $2k+ just to add that on).

Steph's research has been particularly helpful though, with stop offs at 'The Worlds Largest Badger', 'The Worlds Largest Peanut', 'The Worlds Largest Chair' and best of all 'The Giant Lady's Leg Sundial'...Brilliant stuff.


We have to get some work done on the car Monday (A new fuel tank as the other one has a hole in it.......can't see why that's a problem?!), we will use Tuesday for a final stocking up of mints in the car and then plan to head off Weds mid-morning. According to route planner if we were to drive this non-stop it would take us 167 hours and 35 mins - which is 7 days - Hopefully we will get a chance to stop for a wee or it could turn out to be one smelly journey.
