Day 30 - Anyone smell Gasoline?

It was another interlude day today as we drove from dawn to dusk, Seattle, Washington to a town about 3 hours outside of the Yellowstone National Park called Missoula, Montana. We also drove through the top part of Idaho today - but that only lasted about 30mins as the top bit is tiny weeny!

Despite driving all day, and like so many other driving days, the views we see along the way are quite stunning. There is a lot of mountainous terrain and you are usually either driving up - or down a mountain. One view that was particularly nice on the way is below....

So we rolled into Missoula around 7pm, or it was actually 8pm as we had gone back into Mountain Time Zone. We stopped by a gas station to fill up for the next days driving - as Steph was doing the honours, dressed in her brand new jeans she had bought only the day before - disaster! The gas pump got stuck on and began spurting out over the side of the car and Stephs new jeans - ARRRGGGHHHHHH!!!!
Luckily Steph was not smoking a pipe like she usually does when filling up with gas so all was well. However the statement of "Do you smell gas?" was heard by us whilst standing next to many people for the next hour or so. Poor Steph
So we are now doing an unplanned wash of clothes - which is good as I can reset my dirty underwear counter, woo-hoo!!
We are still about 3 hours outside of Yellowstone so will head there tomorrow. The East and West entrances are still closed due to the snow so we will be hitting it head on from the North.
Onwards and downwards!
